Giuseppe
(the Neighbour)

He is more than just a neighbour or 'guest-star' that lives upstairs in my building AND knows a lot about Salerno… Giuseppe from time to time likes to drop in to say hello and give guests a warm hospitable Italian welcome.

About us:

Being fascinated with Italy since I was a child - Who knew I would actually get here someday? After growing up in Thunder Bay, Ontario I moved to Toronto when I was 19 to study Photography and much later unintentionally ended up working in Film Distribution and Acquisitions for a large company. After being ‘downsized’ the opportunities that followed were scarce, limited, and unfulfilling. After 3 years in that scenario, spending 14 years total - living in Toronto with my best friend/roomie (who was running off to marry a beautiful Japanese girl) I inevitably asked myself “What now?” Then I got a mad (somewhat unconventional) idea to go it alone & try something a little different of course Sassy, Beau & Higgins would come along wherever I went. So after feverishly saving a little money (including selling my worldly goods on ebay and donating myself to medical science) and with a little help from some hospitable Italian locals, here is where I ended up. Who knew???!!! It’s an adventure and an ongoing challenge. I compare my experience to a fabulous pair of designer shoes they pinch, give you big teeth-grinding blisters in the beginning but you know that in time it will be a great fit!
